Tucked just a couple of miles south of Robertsbridge, Footland Wood is a gem of mixed forestry: towering pines, stately beech, and broad stretches of deciduous woodland alive with birdsong.

From the moment your dog hops out of the car, the adventure begins. Wide open spaces lead straight into a network of paths, some arrowing into the dense green shade, others winding gently down through the pines. Streams and ponds glint between the trees, while the undergrowth rustles with wildlife. Depending on the season, you might spot winter flocks of thrushes and finches, and hear the call of a woodcock.

The route combines cool, shady forest trails with open field edges, perfect for a full-speed sprint. Whether your dog’s joy is in nose-to-the-ground exploration or head-high galloping, Footland Wood delivers space, variety, and sensory delight.
