Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of dogs do you walk?

We welcome dogs of all shapes, sizes, ages, and personalities. Some thrive on full-tilt adventures, racing across fields with the pack, while others prefer a steady stroll, lots of sniff stops, and gentle exploration.

Our walks are designed to give every dog the right balance of exercise, stimulation, and companionship, whether that’s bounding through woodland, padding quietly along a trail, or simply enjoying the fresh air with friends.

Before your dog joins, I’ll always meet them first to get a sense of their temperament, energy level, and any special needs. That way, we can make sure they’re comfortable, safe, and happy on every walk.

Do you offer doggy day care and boarding?

Yes — we’re fully licensed for both doggy daycare and home boarding.

Doggy Daycare: Perfect for sociable dogs who love company and activity. Your dog enjoys a full day of walks, playtime, rest, and care in a safe, homely environment.

Dog Boarding: A comfortable, home-from-home stay while you’re away. Dogs are treated as part of the family, with daily walks, cuddles, and company throughout the day and night.

What’s a typical daycare day like?

A balanced mix of exercise, play, mental stimulation, rest, and one-to-one attention. Dogs join our morning or afternoon group walks (or both), have structured downtime, enrichment activities, and plenty of human interaction. We keep routines calm, friendly, and predictable so your dog feels fully at ease.

Where do the dogs sleep when boarding?

In our home, not kennels. Dogs sleep in designated safe spaces, with cosy beds provided or their own from home. We keep everything calm and comfortable, and we follow their usual bedtime routine wherever possible.

Will my dog mix with other dogs during daycare or boarding?

Yes — but only if appropriate. We carefully manage introductions and only place dogs together if we’re confident they’re compatible. Time is supervised, and nervous or quiet dogs are given space, reassurance, and their own peaceful areas. Safety and comfort always come first.

What should my dog bring for daycare or boarding?

We’ll let you know before your booking, but typically:

  • Their regular food

  • Any medication

  • Lead, harness, and collar with ID tag

  • Bed and favourite blanket (boarding)

  • Anything that helps them feel at home

Do you administer medication?

Yes, we’re happy to give oral medication as part of your dog’s routine. We simply ask for clear instructions.

Do you walk dogs off the lead?

Yes, ideally, once we have your written consent. For the first few outings, your dog will be on a long lead so we can build trust, check recall, and see how they settle into the group. Once we’re confident they’re safe and responsive, they can enjoy off-lead adventures.

How often do you walk?

We run two group walks every weekday:

- Morning: 10–11am

- Afternoon: 2–3pm

Do you walk in all weathers?

Yes, come rain, shine, or mud! The only exceptions are extreme conditions, such as unsafe travel (e.g. heavy snow) or very hot weather. In the heat, I’ll switch to early morning or late evening walks. We’ll always check in with you if changes are needed.

Do you offer one-to-one walks?

Yes, depending on availability. These can be arranged between the morning and afternoon group walks.

How many dogs are in each group?

A maximum of five, small enough for safety and plenty of individual attention.

Do you collect and return my dog?

Yes, we provide a pick-up and drop-off service. Travel time is not taken out of their exercise time, so every dog still gets a full, active one-hour walk. If your dog gets wet or muddy, they’ll have a quick clean and towel dry before coming home.

Which areas do you cover?

Hastings, St Leonards-on-Sea, Battle, Brede and nearby surrounding areas.

Do you walk on bank holidays, or offer weekend walks?

Not as standard, but bank holidays and weekend walks may be available on request for existing clients.

How do we get started?

Fill in your details on the contact page and we’ll call to arrange a meet-and-greet. We’ll discuss your dog’s needs and personality, then arrange a trial walk, either in a group or one-to-one, depending on what’s best.

Are you DBS/Police checked?

Yes, clean record. Certificate No. 001256740647.

Are you insured?

Yes — we both hold full professional pet business insurance covering dog walking, daycare, home boarding, transport, and public liability (up to £5 million).

Do you have dog first aid training?

Yes, we carry a portable first aid kit on every walk. If your dog is injured or unwell, I’ll contact you immediately and, if necessary, take them to your vet (or the nearest available vet).

How much do you charge?
